3/22/2023 0 Comments Orks red goes fasterMany claim that the need for speed is in their blood, and so the Orks of this clan make sure to daub their vehicles, themselves and - in especially ambitious cases - even their bullets bright red. The Evil Sunz have adopted the general Ork maxim that red uns go faster as. ![]() On the other hand, maybe this is exactly the reason why they make most Ferraris red - they do go faster. The Evil Sunz are firm believers in the old Ork adage ‘red wunz go fasta’. Just as the Goffs klan loves violence and aggression, so the Evil Sunz love speed. Pretty interesting stuff, made me wish i hadn't skipped all the physics classes in high-school. Yeah, i remember reading somewhere that this is exactly the effect they use for measuring the exact distances between Earth and stars out there. Similarly, many captured Ork weapons and items of equipment should not work, and indeed do not work unless wielded by an Ork. Stubbornly durable, physically powerful and naturally inclined toward violence, Orks are exceptional, if unruly fighters. Red Ork vehicles do travel perceptibly faster than those of other colors, even when all other design aspects are nominally the same. Maybe this has something to do with the perception of speed? It works in reverse for things moving towards you quickly (they look more blue), so I don't know. The most populous race in the galaxy of Warhammer 40,000, Orks are a race of green-skinned barbarians, a brutish and warmongering species that exists only to wage bloodshed on everything else in the galaxy, including themselves. As the Waaagh rages on, more Orks will hear of the fighting and travel to where the action is. ![]() Learned about it in Astronomy class. Are you thinking about the red shift? Because that means that as something moves away from you at greater speeds, it looks more and more red (because the distance between the waves is lengthened by the movement of the object). Thus, the longer a Waaagh goes on the more numerous it becomes. Rubiksnoob wrote:Red light has a longer wavelength so appears moving away from you.
